Melissa Farrell- Instructor
Melissa has been riding horses since the age of 7. She is a full time nurse and runs Deer Run Stables in Palmyra, NY. She has shown successfully in NY and VA. She has shown on the A circuit, AA circuit, B rated shows, CHSA, NWNY, and AQHA Shows. She specializes in quarter horses, hunters, hunt seat equitation and jumpers. She owns three horses of her own, Shy who is a QH mare that she has owned for 12 years and shown on the hunter circuit as well as the quarter horse circuit, competing in HUS, hunter over fences at 3'6" and Showmanship. Mandy and Handsome are her horses off the track that she has trained to be hunters. She has coached a IEA team and enjoys being around the children. Her number one love is training people how to ride. From beginner to advanced she enjoys teaching and traveling to horse shows.
Marie Farrell- owner/ barn manager
Marie, owner, has been traveling and going to horse shows with Melissa for the past 10 years. She is accomplished business woman and enjoys organizing and running Deer Run Stables. She has learned over the years how to handle and care for the horses. She loves to spoil the horses and cater to their needs. She is enjoying her horse Mandy and learning to ride after all of these years of watching and grooming for her daughter. She treats every horse as if it were her own.
